Our live prototype, HaHu Scripts is a groundbreaking gamified and interactive app designed to make Amharic and Tigrigna literacy accessible to all. Tailored for Semitic and Abugida/Abjad writing systems, our app employs an innovative, step-by-step syllabic game that effectively teaches our users how to read and write Geez scripts . With over 250 illustrated vocabulary card games, HaHu Scripts transcends traditional teaching methods, making literacy engaging, interactive, and fun.

Beyond being a  literacy tool—HaHu Scripts is a gateway to preserve and share the rich linguistic heritage found within these languages and cultures. Through our Stories section (ተረት ተረት / ነበረያ ነበረ), users can immerse themselves in traditional tales, illustrated books and songs passed down through generations, connecting with their cultural roots in a unique and interactive way.

We address the critical challenges of illiteracy and learning poverty, by preserving, encapsulating, and passing on shared literary culture to future generations through technology (Digitalization, Gamification & AI). HaHu Scripts is just the beginning—with plans to scale up to support many more scripts and languages, our vision is global.
